Your ideas. And a few of mine.

Since you guys have given me some great ideas, I thought I'd add some myself, in case anyone else out there is shopping like me.

Anyone?

This is my most recent purchase. We bought this for Shepherd's third birthday, which was on Wednesday, but we'll be celebrating tonight.

Since Shepherd is still quite delayed physically, I thought this would be perfect for his little self! And no pedals means nothing to break.

And with a weight limit that goes up to 100 pounds, I seriously suspect there will be a small herd of children in line to ride this cute thing.

Quiddler is a game I bought years ago, when I was homeschooling. Clearly, the homeschooling didn't stick, but this game did. We love to play it as a family, it's great at on vacation or anytime you want to spend some quality time together with your kiddos.

Even Tori at the ripe old age of 20 loves it and, admittedly, has beaten me on a very few occasions.

I still love her, though.

The Leapster is a game we bought for each of our girls last Christmas. It's the one toy that has actually lasted and been worth changing out the batteries... they loved it then and they love it now.

I expect the two we bought last year will be around when Jude and Shepherd are big enough to 'inherit' them, they seem quite sturdy. And we can be kinda tough on stuff.

We have the regular Leapster, not the Leapster 2, so I can only speak for the old school Leapster.

Another leftover from our very short foray into homeschooling is the collection of Bob Books. Just about any child can learn to read with these books.

And once they do learn to read, they'll carry these around, pulled close to their chest, because they love them so.

And lastly, even though no one asked, here is my personal favorite gift, ever.

The Suzanne Myers Name Charm Necklace.

I positively adore this... it reminds me of all my babies every time I wear it.

Minus all the screaming, snotty noses and poopy diapers.

If you aren't able to order one in time to have it wrapped for Christmas, you might want to consider a gift certificate. That's the perfect way to let that special someone choose the border and stones they like best.

They will love. you. for. it. Promise.

I'll be collecting ideas from you guys for the next several weeks, so keep 'em coming. I really love to know what you're thinking of getting and even better, the stuff you and your kids already have and truly love.

I've gotten your ideas organized into handy clickable links. I'll continue to add to this list as you guys comment and link up in Mr. Linky... so the list will grow weekly.

And of course, once you've commented or linked up with an idea, you're entered to win one of $25 Amazon gift cards I'll be giving away.

Just linked up at #14. I love this post idea. I'm always searching for good gifts. and like you I've been shopping already as well.
I'm not sure how to get my idea in the right category. ButI think the teepee would be good for pre-school through elementary.

I will second the Leapster although it seems we are not destined to ever keep one. We took it to China last year for the adoption trip. LeighAnna used it equally as she did the iPod... that is until she left it on our flight from Guangzhou to Beijing and didn't notice until we were enroute to Chicago. So she got a second newer one for Christmas and two months later it got left at Children's Hospital. Sadly, not every parent is honest at the hospital and it never showed up in the lost and found. I'd be glad to send you our games since we have no use for them anymore. I am skeptical to buy a third since we can't seem to keep them tied to us.

Oh, New Day Foster Home has a link for AMAZON as well - you know - to spread the love ;)

I would love to participate in the Christmas gifts ideas - but I have deep fear of failure and am not sure I could follow the directions! tee-hee.....

Stefanie,

For little ones--1-6 the Little People Nativity Scene can't be beat! :) We opened ours up the other day and my children have already spent hours and hours playing with it. Available from the F. Price Catalog only.
It is ADORABLE! AND DURABLE. :)

Just linked up a nativty set at #17. Looks like you've already had a different one recommended, but I love the distinct people and animal renditions in this one.

I do a lot of shopping at amazon, so I'll definitely be going there through love without boundaries from now on!

I didn't want to do a post about my gift idea because Ben always seems to be peeking over my shoulder and I'm afraid he would see. :o)

My Youth gift idea is a metal detector. We do a lot of camping and have a park in our neighborhood, so I know he'll get a kick searching for treasure. We got one like this...
